Fake Paper Accepted by SEDE-2011 20th International Conference on Software Engineering and Data Engineering

Also, note a fake paper was accepted by ANNA WORLD '11 - The 2011 World Congress & Expo in Chennai, India, as can be seen at http://annaworld.000space.com

This is to report to the research community that the SEDE-2011 conference (http://mavs.utdallas.edu/SEDE2011) accepted a fake paper in which the first page was taken from Wikipedia and the vast majority of the last four pages were generated by the SCIgen fake paper generator:

Name of Conference:  SEDE-2011 20th International Conference on Software Engineering and Data Engineering
Date:  June 20-22, 2011
Conference Web Site:  http://mavs.utdallas.edu/SEDE2011
Organizers:  Narayan C. Debnath (Winona State University), Rym Zalila-Wenkstern (University of Texas at Dallas), Weili Wu (University of Texas at Dallas), and Mary Ann Sullivan (ISCA)
Conference Organization:  International Society for Computers and their Applications (http://www.isca-hq.org)

SEDE-2011 claims to be their 20th international conference on software engineering and data engineering, but prior to 2006, this was a conference on intelligent and adaptive systems and sofware engineering. Also, prior to 2003, this was a conference on intelligent systems. The conference doesn't appear to have existed prior to 1995. This can be seen at http://www.isca-hq.org/proc-lst.htm

The SEDE-2011 conference claims that submissions/papers are reviewed/refereed BUT they are not properly reviewed/refereed.

The fake paper was submitted for evaluation on https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/SEDE2011/ on February 7, 2011.  The notification of acceptance was received on May 3, 2011.
The following fake reviews of the fake paper were given to us on the conference submission Web site:

Reviews For Paper Track Paper Submission
Paper ID 17
Title Tropist Method for Sequence Analysis
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Masked Reviewer ID:  Assigned_Reviewer_1
Review:

Question
Research Problem Definition Neutral
Knowledge of Related Literature Neutral
Technical Content Neutral
Language and Clarity Neutral
Originality and Contribution Reject
Overall Evaluation Accept as Short Paper (4 pages)
Reviewer's Confidence Average
Detailed Comments This paper has four contributions:

1. They validate the internet QoS is game-theoretic, cacheable, and multimodal when using autonomous symmetries .
2. A new client-server information(Tropist) is proposed to demonstrate that A* search can be made adaptive, probabilistic, and stable.
3. They use extreme programming in the environment of IPV4 to achieve the purpose in 1, while IPV6 does not work well.
4. They verified that while linked lists and kernels are continuously incompatible, IPV7 can be made interactive atomic and extensible.

Cons:

The paper lacks originality and no significantly technical contribution.

Research Problem Definition Neutral

Overall Evaluation Accept as Short Paper (4 pages)
Reviewer's Confidence Average
Detailed Comments This paper validates that Internet QoS can be made game-theoretic, cacheable, and multimodal.
The authors prove that IPv6 and operating systems can interfere to answer this quandary and they use
ambimorphic theory to verify that extreme programming and IPv4 can agree to achieve this purpose.
They finally verified that while linked lists and kernels are continuously incompatible, IPv7 can be
made interactive, atomic, and extensible.
The algorithm they proposed can successfully investigate many information retrieval systems at once.

However, each part of this paper has no clear relationship with others.
